Youth Choir
St Luke Youth Choir
The Youth Choir is a unique group of children between the ages of 6 to 14. They sing once a month during Liturgy both in English and Greek, and rehearse during coffee hours tice a month on Sundays after Liturgy.
The Youth Choir participates in the following programs throughout the year:
- Mothers and Fathers Day
- Thanksgiving
- Christmas
- Christmas Pageant
Children are taught the techniques for using the voice properly and methods for breathing and projecting. Phonetics are used to lean the hymns which are sung in Greek.
Along with special vocal programs, children are encouraged to play any instruments they are studying at school. The musical youth program of our church is also designed to perpetuate future choir members for our church and other Greek Orthodox choirs they may attend.
