Metropolis of Boston Family Camp

It is no secret that the camp ministry has been steadily strengthening and successfully growing within the past few years. The success of the camp program and the positive impacts on the youth of our Church are due in large part to the dedicated and gifted staff who volunteer their time, talents and treasures to this important ministry. The key to the entire camp program lies in the successful training and preparing of the staff.

The camp season ends in August, but preparations and trainings for the next season begin just one month later in September. Starting with the Open House, the current and aspiring staff begin to gather, train and serve the youth and families of the Metropolis through monthly gatherings, weekend retreats, and intensive training experiences and opportunities to counsel at Winter Camps.

The goal of these various forms of training is to arm the staff with the tools that will allow them to transform the campers’ lives in a true and authentic way, continuously leading our youth towards Christ. Through the trainings, a true community centered on Christ, familial bonds and a deep and profound love for neighbor are formed among the staff. These in turn are shared with each camper that comes to the camp program throughout the summer. Without Christ, Community and Love, our camp program would not stand out among the thousands of different sports, acting, and YMCA camping programs that are also offered to youth today; and it is through the dedication and training of the staff that such an environment is created.

The Staff experience is open to all those who are willing and able to love the youth of this Metropolis by becoming a servant of Christ, and selflessly sacrificing for the children of His Church. The administration of Camp and the Youth Director of the Metropolis are currently seeking new staff to help support, volunteer and serve through this extremely important ministry.
